Announcing the 13th Annual World Value Wine Challenge
An International Wine Competition Specifically for Wines $20 and Under

The Beverage Testing Institute (BTI) is currently accepting registrations for its 2013 World Value Wine Challenge (WVWC) through AUGUST 2nd 2013. The WVWC is the only competition in the wine industry that focuses on value-oriented brands in several price and size categories. Top wines will be featured on Tastings.com, RestaurantHospitality.com, and in the Chicago Tribune.
All registered wines will receive a full review including scores and tasting notes, free licensed use of BTI’s wine logos, PDFs of shelf-talkers, frameable award certificates, and a four-year posting on BTI’s ad and sponsor-free website www.tastings.com.
‘TOP 10’ awards will be given for each of these following categories:
• Four price-based categories for 750mL bottles: $20 & under, $15 & under, $10 & under, and $8 & under
• Four format-based categories: 1.5L bottles (up to $25), 3L casks (up to $30), tetra-pack cartons, half bottles (375mL). Participation with tetra-pack, cask, and larger format-packaged brands is encouraged.
• Plus special “Best Of” awards will be given to highly represented regions, varietal groups, and ’exceptional values.’
BTI has been reviewing wines since 1981 and is one of the few unsponsored and completely independent beverage rating and review services. BTI’s experts have spent the last 30 years refining a proprietary evaluation methodology that maps their consistent and repeatable qualitative assessment scale to the industry standard 100-point scale.
