Opaque garnet violet color. Intense and pure aromas and flavors of cassis, eucalyptus oil, olives, and toffeed nuts. Powerful and deep, this outstanding wine's flavor seems boundless, yet it displays a charm and elegance that is inviting, not ostentatious. Serve with filet mignon or elk steaks. Aromas of spicy cassis-blueberry compote, candle wax, eucalyptus incense and delicate pink pepper follow through on a round, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with excellent reserved depth and balance. Finishes with a nice pepper, pomegranate seed, and earth snap. A nice poised and reserved, old school styled Napa cab to serve with porterhouses. (tasted on Jul-19-2010)
