Brilliant deep ruby color. Aromas of crusty berry pie a la mode, mint, waxy chocolate, and delicate toasty cedar follow through on a silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with very good depth and crunchy, chewy ripe berry, cherry tomato, and melon accented finish. Opaque violet black color. Aromas of warm blueberry pie filling and cocoa follow through on a, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with a hint of mocha and great sleek texture. Finishes with a long, tangy berry and spice fade. A very nice sipper or pair with heirloom turkey meat. (tasted on Jan-25-2010)
