Deep violet black color. Earthy aromas of wet clay, butter sautéed peanut, and roasted tomatoes follow through on a soft entry to a dry medium body with sour cherry, currant and nut skin notes on the chewy tannin fade. Reminiscent of an aged red Bordeaux. Pair with steaks with mushroom sauce. (tasted on Jan-18-2010)

Deep garnet violet color. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and faint dried berries follow through on a supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with very good depth and balanced acidity. Finishes with a olive, apple, and spiced nut kissed fade with chewy, integrated tannins. A stylish, attractive red for sipping or the table; try with black olive and sausage pizza. Deep garnet color. Aromas of buttery nut brittle, polished wood, and spicy plum chutney follow through on a soft, silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with savory cedar, cinnamon, and sandalwood notes. Finishes with crisp, light, dusty tannin fade. A nice spicy, woody red to pair with lamb tagine or duck confit. Try with a slight chill too. (tasted on Jan-18-2010)

Deep garnet color. Aromas of spiced plums and cherries and cedar follow through on a soft, silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with good depth and a very smooth, praline, roasted pepper, and thyme accented fade. Very nice; pair with grilled pork tenderloins. (tasted on Jan-18-2010)

Finishes with a crisp, warming peppery spice accented fade with judicious tannins. A nice merlot for the table. (tasted on Jan-18-2010)
