Deep ruby black color. Aromas of baked black cherries, briny olive, cocoa, and roasted pepper follow through on a supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with excellent mellow depth and balance. Finishes with a long, tangy cherry custard, spice, and sandalwood dissolve. A great example of Rioja that bears forth both ripe fruit and sense of place. (tasted on Jul-15-2010)

Aromas of blueberries, cranberry, eucalyptus, herbal marinated root vegetables, and earth follow through on a supple entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with very good depth and a drying, powdery tannin, birch bark and mineral accented finish.
