89 • Alexander Valley Vineyards 2009 Gewurztraminer, Mendocino County $12. Best Buy.
Pale golden color. Bold yellow rose and lychee aromas are classic gewurz and follow through on a silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with very good depth and a tangy, drying and glycerous mineral and peach skin accented finish. A spot on gewurztraminer for sipping or food. (tasted on May-17-2010)
89 • Prejean 2009 Estate Grown Dry, Gewurztraminer, Finger Lakes $14.99. Best Buy.
Golden straw color. Lush aromas of pineapple and peach custards, chestnut honey, lychee and yellow rose with a round, silky dry-yet-fruity medium body and a juicy, sweet citrus, delicate spice, and earth finish. Very nice varietal character; pair with spicy Latin and Asian seafood. (tasted on Nov-08-2010)
89 • Lucas Vineyards 2009 Gewurztraminer, Finger Lakes $14.99. Best Buy.
Very pale silver straw color. Exotic aromas of creamy pistachio nougat, white chocolate, orange and peach marmalade, and lilacs with a soft, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a juicy tart citrus, nectarine and mossy earth finish. Nice layers of complexity; pair with Bouillabaisse or paella. (tasted on Nov-08-2010)

Pale golden yellow color. Extroverted aromas of banana cream pie, lychee, peach and rose water with a somewhat limp dry, light body and a citrus oil, dried flower, balsa, and chalk accented finish. (tasted on Nov-08-2010)
