92 • Wyndham 2005 Estate, "Black Cluster", Shiraz, Hunter Valley $39.99.
Deep purple black color. Aromas of blackberry creme brulee, vanilla, menthol tobacco, and exotic peppercorns follow through on a round, supple entry to a dryish medium-full body with nice layers of sandalwood, cinnamon, and clove. Finishes with a long, chewy, nutty tannin and barrel spice finish. A complex serious table wine. (tasted on Jan-20-2010)

Deep garnet violet color. Aromas of mocha, berry pie crust, and dried eucalyptus follow through on a round, satiny entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with a elegantly balanced ripe fruit and acidity. Finishes with a long, juicy, fine tannin fade. An excellent, super smooth, super drinkable shiraz for all occasions. (tasted on Jan-20-2010)
