90 • Jarvis 2007 Estate Grown, Cave Fermented, Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley $85.
Deep garnet purple color. Dense aromas of raisins, creme brulee, cocoa, and beeswax candle with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a rich, chewy, cigar tobacco and salted nut finish. Delicious and fine tuned for the table. (tasted on Feb-13-2012)

Garnet violet color. Aromas craisin, chocolate almond, and mint patch with a supple dryish medium body and and a cedar, sun-dried tomato, and roasted nut finish. Seductive. (tasted on Feb-13-2012)
88 • Alexander Valley Vineyards 2009 Wetzel Family Estate, Cabernet Franc, Alexander Valley $24.
Deep garnet violet color. Bright aroma of waxy honeycomb, goji berries, and sweet pipe tobacco with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a spicy blueberry and mint leaf accented finish. Nice complexity and earthy style. Try with veal picatta. (tasted on Feb-13-2012)

Earthy aromas of chocolate covered nuts and dried berries with a dryish, light-o-medium body and a craisin, nutskin and earth finish. A nice rustic tale wine to try with stews. (tasted on Feb-13-2012)
