90 • Theresianer Unfiltered Bock.
Cloudy deep amber copper color with a taupe head. Mild caramel and dried fruit aromas with a supple, smooth dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a toasty nut bread, bark, and fruit compote finish. (tasted on Nov-10-2011)
90 • Delafield Brewhaus Einhorn Bock.
Deep copper color. Bright, honeyed tropical fruit and golden raisin bread aromas with a crisp, lush dryish medium-full body and a toasty, mineral and leafy green finish. Very nice and beautifully balanced. (tasted on Feb-16-2011)
88 • Narragansett Brewing Company Bock.
Bright deep amber color. Aromas of caramel-drizzled dates and buttered orange-cranberry scone with a crisp, supple dryish medium body and an even crisper roasted corn and root vegetable driven finish with astringent, earthy and peppery hops. Really more of a hoppy marzen in style, but very refreshing and quenching. (tasted on Mar-10-2011)
88 • Minhas Craft Brewery Huber Bock.
Deep brown color. Slightly smoky charred nut, grilled apple, and dried meat aromas with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a sweet fall fruit and white cigar ash accented finish. A solid session bock that will be great with grilled sausages. (tasted on Nov-10-2011)
87 • Del Norte Brewing Co. Luminaria Bock.
Pretty dark reddish copper color. Aromas of caramelized dried fruits and banana cake with a supple, chewy dryish medium-to-full body and a mellow, lightly peppery, jicama and wafer accented finish. A nice, dry food bock. (tasted on Feb-16-2011)
