89 • Pedroncelli 2005 "Four Grapes", Vintage Port, Dry Creek Valley $18/500 ml. Cellar Selection.
Inky violet color. Mild boysenberry and spice aromas are somewhat closed at present and follow through on a supple entry to fruity sweet medium-full body with very good depth and understated balance. Finishes with cocoa, caramel, and earth accented fade. A keeper. (tasted on Jul-01-2010)
87 • Pedroncelli 2007 Three Vineyards, Cabernet Sauvignon, Dry Creek Valley $16.
Garnet violet color. Chocolate covered berry and cedar aromas and flavors. Round and silky with a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-body. Tangy melon and vanilla accents on the finish with chewy, dusty tannins. A nice sipper or table wine. (tasted on Aug-12-2010)
85 • Pedroncelli 2008 Bench Vineyards, Merlot, Dry Creek Valley $14.
Deep ruby color. Sweet boysenberry gelato and chocolate raspberry mousse aromas follow through on a round, silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with good depth and stony minerality. Finishes with a taut cedar bark, river stone, and chewy tannin fade. (tasted on Jul-19-2010)
84 • Pedroncelli 2009 Vintage Selection, Chardonnay, Dry Creek Valley $12.
Pale golden color. Exotic aromas of buttery pistachio brittle, persimmon, and spiced apple with a soft, silky dryish medium body and a tart apple, melon rind and vanilla milk finish. (tasted on Oct-14-2010)
