97 • Dr. Konstantin Frank 2008 Bunch Select Late Harvest, Riesling, Finger Lakes $69.99/375 ml.  Sustainable Agriculture
Deep yellow gold color. Lush dried apricot, warm honey, and delicate spice aromas follow thorugh on a rich, satiny entry to a sweet medium-to-full body with pure golden raisin accented flavors and a long, tangy caramelized pineapple, apple and mineral accented fade. A delicious, vibrant dessert wine equal to some of the world's finest. (tasted on Jan-11-2010)
91 • Casa Larga 2006 Fiori Ice Wine, Vidal, Finger Lakes $44.99/375 ml.
Deep old gold color. Rich aromas of honeyed golden raisins and sautéed apricots follow through on a supple, silky entry to a fruity sweet medium-to-full body with tangy, juicy fruitiness and long, mouthwatering finish. A nicely poised dessert wine that is not cloying in the least. Serve with cheese and dried fruits. (tasted on Jan-14-2010)
88 • Wagner Vineyards 2008 Estate, Riesling Ice, Finger Lakes $22.99/375 ml.
Bright golden yellow color. Somewhat unusual aromas of marinated sweet and hot peppers, desiccated lemon, and honeyed peaches have an herbal edge and follow through on a round, supple entry to a fruity sweet medium-to-full body with pewter-like minerality. Finishes with a crisp, tart earthy fade. Pair with nuts and rustic goat cheeses. (tasted on Jan-11-2010)
87 • Wagner Vineyards 2008 Estate, Vidal Blanc Ice, Finger Lakes $21.99/375 ml.
Bright old gold color. Lush aromas of baked apple, peach and toasty caramel cake follow through on juicy, silky entry to a fruity sweet medium-to-full body with golden raisin chutney, dried peach and toasty spiced nut notes. Finishes with a long, faint fuel-like mineral accented fade. Nice depth and Old World structure. (tasted on Jan-11-2010)
85 • Bouquet 2008 Dessert Wine, North Fork of Long Island $36/375 ml.
Pale golden beige color. Floral spicy raisin compote and anise aromas follow through on a very soft, gentle entry to a off-dry and lightly fruity medium body with potpourri and lychee nut notes. Finishes with a spiced nut, peach marmalade and mineral accent. A dainty off-dry sipper, more than a dessert wine, try pairing with grilled fruit summer salads. (tasted on Jan-11-2010)
