89 • Heritage 2011 Dry Rosé, Outer Coastal Plain $14.99. Best Buy.
Pretty silvery salmon color. Bright honeyed strawberry danish and cherry aromas with a silky dry-yet-fruity medium body and a crisp, citrus and tart apple accented finish. Nice Old World balance of fruit and acidity makes this a pleasure to sip or pair with food. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
88 • Crios 2012 Rosé of Malbec, Mendoza $13. Best Buy.
Great neon violet pink color. Fresh, cherry berry aromas and flavors with a nice dry minerality to offset and touch of heat on the finish. A well rounded adult rose. (tasted on Sep-18-2012)
88 • Pushpin 2011 Garnacha Rosé, Campo de Borja $9.99. Best Buy.
Crushed raspberry, red cherries, strawberries and a hint of white pepper and tomato leaf with a cherry packed mid-palate, just a tiny hint of sweetness, but with enough acidity and fruit intensity to keep it in balance. Long cherry, raspberry finish that is not overly fruity or cloying. (tasted on Sep-25-2012)
87 • Alba 2010 Chelsea Dry Rosé, Warren Hills $10.99. Best Buy.
Aromas of dried strawberries and citrus and nuts with a fruity light-to-medium body and a honeyed cherry and lime finish. A nice tangy, earthy rose for sipping or the table. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
87 • Coyote Canyon Winery 2011 Coyote Canyon Vineyard, "Life is a Rosé", Horse Heaven Hills $18.
Wild strawberries, rhubarb, raspberries and a touch of spice in a medium bodied almost dry rose. Balanced finish a touch on the fruity side. (tasted on Sep-11-2012)
86 • Vina Robles 2011 Huerhuero, Roseum, Paso Robles $13. Best Buy.
Aromas of baked fruits and pepper with a crisp, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a black pepper and grilled citrus accented finish. A rich, warming rose that will work well in winter months. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
86 • Oak Leaf NV White Zinfandel, California $3. Best Buy.
Steely salmon color. Aromas of mixed berry tart, melon and citrus marmalade with a fruity medium body and a round, honeyed cherry, nut and lemon spritzed apple finish. A refreshing rose that will cover a lot of bases. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
85 • Vini 2011 Rosé, Thracian Valley $7.99.
Pale silver red color. Aromas of strawberry pie and cream with a tangy, fruity light-to-medium body and an apple and vanilla taffy accented finish. A charming fruity rose that is sure to please. (tasted on Sep-26-2012)
85 • Canyon Wind 2011 47-Ten Rosé, Grand Valley $13.95.
Aromas of cherry custard pie with a graham cracker crust with a supple, fruity medium body and a tangy, lemon meringue pie finish. A bit candied but fun and refreshing. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
85 • Pear Valley 2011 Rosé, Paso Robles $14.
Pale ruby color. Toasted nut, wheat cracker, and choke cherry jam aromas with a silky, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a warming ripe tomato and peppery spice finish. A nice savory rose; try it with bbq. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
84 • Treleaven 2011 Dry Rosé, Finger Lakes $13.99.
Reddish pink color. Aromas of honeyed cherry, tomatoes and bell peppers with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tart cranberry and nut finish. A nice dry rosé. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
84 • Pushpin 2011 Grenache Rosé, Vin de Pays d'Oc $9.99.
Strawberry juice, Concord jam and Rainier cherries in a light, fruity style. A touch of sweetness, light body and very little acidity. Very light and foxy. (tasted on Sep-27-2012)
82 • Pushpin 2011 Primitivo Rosé, Puglia IGT $9.99.
Pale strawberry red with a light nose of red cherries and plums. Very light bodied and simple, dry, moderate acidity and a short finish. No flaws but too little going on in the nose or palate to rate higher. (tasted on Sep-12-2012)
81 • Silver Lake 2010 "Roza Rosé", Rattlesnake Hills $8.99.
Ruby, almost like a light Pinot. Ripe crushed cherries, wild raspberries, heirloom tomatoes and white button mushrooms on a very interesting nose lead to a sweet, low acid palate. Will appeal to a sweet wine drinker. (tasted on Sep-11-2012)
