Deep garnet color. Attractive aromas of blackberry gelato, sweet pipe tobacco, and blueberry pie with a silky, fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a tangy, vibrant cedar, spiced blackberry, vanilla cream, and mineral driven finish. A racy, fruit driven red that will be great with prime rib and baby rack of lamb. (tasted on Mar-18-2013)

Nice "old world" nose. Mazzard cherries and a hint of tobacco. Flavors don't follow the expectations of the nose as they are lighter and truncated with heavy tannins. A bit of a disappointment given the appeal of this brand's other bottlings. (tasted on Mar-04-2013)

Vibrant nose of dark cherries and cherry syrup. Fruit driven flavors follow along with a short tannic, lightly papery finish. (tasted on Mar-04-2013)

Toasted oak and hints of molten plastic lead. On the palate cherries and a bit of tobacco. Light flavors pull up short. (tasted on Mar-04-2013)

Dark cherries with an off putting lacquer-like note. On the palate, tart cherries and a new carpet backing scent. An easy youth-full drink but odd flavors detract. (tasted on Mar-04-2013)

Bright ripe cherry notes lead with a bit of the barnyard. Ample tannins come on too quickly and cut into the flavors. (tasted on Mar-04-2013)
