Deep amethyst color. Polished aromas of blackberry pie and creme brulee follows through on a very soft and satiny entry to a fruity, moderately sweet medium-full body with great depth and warming peppery spice and mineral notes on the fine tannin finish. Baked blackberry,raisin and plum aromas follow through on silky entry to a fruity, moderately sweet medium-to-full body with great depth and a spicy, nut skin and slate accented fade with firm, powdery tannins. Nicely structured for creamy and blue cheeses. (tasted on Dec-05-2009)
