Bright dense amethyst color. Bold crispy bacon, black raspberry, and hardwood charcoal aromas follow through on a vibrant entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body with gobs of fruit and a dash of vanilla cream. Finishes with a long, tangy, firm tannin fade. Tons of character and great choice for spicy beef Chimichurri. (tasted on Jun-01-2009)

Cracked pepper, cigar wrapper and ash, roasted nut, and raspberry creme brulee aromas follow through on a round, supple entry to a fruity yet dry medium-full body with vanilla bean and pencil shaving notes. Aromas of caramelized nuts, egg custard, and figs follow through on a supple entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body with tart blackberry, dried cranberry and peppery spice notes. Finishes with a long, cedar and spice fade. Nicely styled for now or later. (tasted on Jun-01-2009)

Deep garnet violet color. Compacted aromas of dried strawberries and blueberries, coconut creme brulee crust, old cedar, and delicate black peppercorn follow through on a silky entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with raw cranberry and slate notes. Finishes with a pithy, powdery tannin fade. (tasted on Jun-01-2009)
