90 • Rutherford Ranch 2007 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley $14.
Pale silvery straw color. Elegant ripe gooseberry, red grapefruit, and straw aromas follow through on a round, silky entry to a dryish medium body with melon gelato and kiwi notes. Finishes with a long, earthy accented fade. A polished, stylish sipper or pair with oysters or mussels. (tasted on Apr-13-2009)

Pale golden silver color. Aromas of dried white flowers, beeswax, and melon custard follow through on a crisp entry to a dryish medium body with tart citrus and wheatgrass notes. Finishes with a long, refreshing citrus and mineral fade. Nicely styled. (tasted on Mar-30-2009)

Pale golden color. Spicy aromas of poached pear, custard, and green tea follow through on a crisp entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with citrus zest, gooseberry, and mineral notes. Finishes with a hay and lemon pith fade. (tasted on Mar-30-2009)

Aromas of lemon lip balm, sautéed yellow pepper, casaba melon, and gooseberry custard, follow through on a round, satiny entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body with a touch of grass and flint. Finishes with very crisp, and tangy citrus and earth fade. A great choice for oysters. (tasted on Apr-20-2009)

Pale straw green color. Shy aromas of wax paper, banana bread, and nectarine follow through on a round entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with lemon curd and delicate pepper notes. Finishes with a crisp, grass and edible flower accented fade. (tasted on Apr-20-2009)
