94 • Prix 2006 Reserve, Weir Family Vineyards: MJT Block, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley $60.  Kosher
Enticing aromas of pomegranate sorbet, malted mild chocolate, thyme honey, rosemary, and eucalyptus leaf with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a long, tangy blackberry, peppery spice and green earth finish. A fantastically balanced steak wine. (tasted on Jun-06-2011)
92 • Hagafen 2008 Estate Bottled, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley $45. Cellar Selection.  Kosher
Dark garnet violet color. Rich aromas of cassis jam, dried eucalyptus, menthol tobacco, clove and honeycomb with supple dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a tangy sour cherry, blackberry, pink peppercorn and mossy earth finish with firm tannins. (tasted on Jun-06-2011)
82 • La Rocca 2007 Estate Bottled, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sierra Foothills $15.  Certified Organic-No Sulfites Added
Deep garnet color. Almost unbelievable aromas of maki sushi rolls, dried currants, carob and edamame with a soft dryish medium body and a tart, quick hazelnut butter, toasted rice cake, and cherry vinaigrette with firm, tea-bag-like tannin finish. Slightly oxidized. (tasted on Jun-06-2011)
