Deep garnet purple color. Aromas of currant, marinated mushroom, pine bark and clay follow through on a round entry to a dryish medium body with charred pepper, honey, and leafy Swiss chard notes. Finishes with a supple, earthy pomegranate, leather, and peppery spice fade. An interesting earthy Bordeaux like wine. (tasted on Mar-17-2009)
