Deep garnet black color. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla shakes, toasted coconut, and blackberry pie follow through on a rich, supple entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body with great depth and layers of cigar box, sour cherry, and spiced nuts. Finishes with a long, orange pekoe tea like tannin fade. A great choice for prime rib. (tasted on Jul-06-2009)

Nearly opaque garnet violet color. Aromas of melted toffee, currant, and black raspberry follow through on a round, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with red apple and spice notes. Finishes with a firm, linen-like tannin fade. Decant and serve with a well marbled steak. (tasted on Jul-06-2009)
