Straw color. Aromas and flavors of tropical fruit salad, guanabana, pear cider vinaigrette, and beeswax and magnolia with a silky, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a polished, medium-length finish revealing accents of quince, lemon peel, hint of wintergreen, and straw with crunchy, fruit tannins and no oak flavor. A lovely tropical fruit driven French white with mouthwatering acidity and nice table appeal.

White Bordeaux are made from several varieties, most notably Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc; other grapes such as Ugni Blanc and Muscadelle are planted in much smaller numbers.

While most dry white Bordeaux are pleasant wines for short term consumption, some of the finest chateaux produce outstanding white wines that have excellent depth of fruit (notes of fig and melon) and can age for twenty years or longer. Some are produced in the Pessac-Leognan district, just south of the city of Bordeaux; south of Pessac is the Graves district, which is known for its excellent dry whites.

Situated further south are the districts of Sauternes and Barsac, where the famous dessert wines known as sauternes are produced. Further east in the Entre-Deux-Mers ("between two seas") district, home to medium-bodied, appealing, moderately priced dry white Bordeaux.

These white Bordeaux white wines are ideal served with whitefish or chicken with mushrooms.
