Medium gold color. Aromas and flavors of mesquite, smoked dry rub spiced cracklings, caramel, cigar box, and leather, and dried red fruit with a round, fat body and a warming, delightful, very long finish with notes of smoked peach, dry spiced apricot, bread pudding cooked in a skillet over an open wood fire, and leather and vanilla with dried red berries but finishes slightly medicinal. Smoky and savory up front with underlying fruit and grain sweetness, this is complex and delicious while holding the ABV extraordinarily well; a contemplative Whisky to sit with and pair with cigars.
